Rebecca Hardesty

Graduate Student Researcher

Rebecca's goals are to foster collaboration between instructors, students, and researchers in order to better understand how learning occurs in practice and how pedagogical techniques can be best used to support this. Rebecca has served as an instructional assistant as well as instructor of record for the Communication Department at UC San Diego. She has pursued interdisciplinary work between the divisions of the Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, as well as the School of Medicine through the support from the Chancellor's Research Excellence Scholarship initiative (formerly known as FISP) as well as the Institute of Arts and Humanities. Rebecca received a B.A. in Philosophy and Theatre from Pitzer College and an M.A. in Communication from UC San Diego. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Communication and Science Studies.
