Why use Peer Instruction?

You might want to use Peer Instruction if you would rather work engage your students in deep discussion or challenging problems (rather than summarizing the material).  Perhaps you just think “there’s got to be more value to me than just saying the same things I always say.”  Perhaps you wish more students would come to class, would stay awake, and would engage and ask you questions.
