The Writing + Critical Expression Hub supports all writers on campus—every writer, any project—and promotes writing as a tool for learning.

For Undergraduate Student Writers

  • One-on-one writing tutoring by appointment, 6 days/week
  • Supportive, in-depth conversations about writing, the writing process, and writing skills
  • Help with every stage in the writing process
  • Walk-in tutoring (Monday-Thursday 5pm-7pm, and same-day appointments by availability)
  • Workshops on key writing topics

For Graduate Student Writers

  • By appointment one-on-one writing consultations -- supportive, in-depth conversations about your writing, at any stage of the process
  • Graduate writing retreats -- learn more here or look for upcoming retreats here
  • Graduate Writers' Room -- supportive and focused community of writers, Mondays and Thursdays, 9:00am-10:30am throughout Winter Quarter. In the Spring, we will expand the Graduate Writers' Room to be Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 9:00am-10:30am
  • Workshops on graduate-level writing topics

Need writing help during Finals Week? The Writing Hub will be closed Sunday, March 18, but we will be open during our normal hours during the week. Tutors will be here to give you guidance on your writing assignment! Check out our schedule for availabilities.
