April Cha

April Cha is an Instructional Designer in the Digital Learning Hub at the Teaching + Learning Commons. She supports instructors in the development of online and hybrid courses with a learner-centered approach and an interest in universal design principles. She believes in the effective use of technology to extend the classroom and make education accessible and achievable for learners of all backgrounds and abilities. April is an alumna of UC Riverside and holds a B.A. in English and Master of Education. She spent several years teaching and working with language learners before transitioning into curriculum development and learning management system administration. In 2013, she joined UC San Diego as an Instructional Technologist supporting the campus learning management system, grading platforms, and various collaborative tools. In 2018, she joined the Digital Learning Hub and is excited to bring her knowledge of educational technology and learner-centered curriculum design to the Teaching + Learning Commons.
