Assessment Day 2026
Join us for an enriching Assessment Day on Thursday, May 19th, from 9 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. in the Cross-Cultural Center and Online! As part of this event, we're excited to offer a diverse range of workshop sessions designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of university staff, faculty, and students alike.
This Year's Theme:
"United Through Assessment for Student Success"
Goals:
- Promote Educational Equity: Demonstrate how assessment can be a powerful tool for advancing educational equity by sharing examples of how it has been used to identify areas of improvement and ensure inclusive practices.
- Strengthen Critical Thinking and Communication: Provide opportunities for staff, faculty and students to enhance their critical thinking and communication skills through meaningful assessment activities.
- Embed Assessment into Everyday Practices: Uplifting a mindset where assessment is an integral part of our everyday practices by offering tangible takeaways, practical tools, and strategies to help you incorporate assessment to your work.
- Foster Community Engagement: Create a supportive community where staff, faculty, where staff, faculty, and students can openly share their assessment stories and build confidence as an assessment practitioner.

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
Share your assessment story, tools, or workshop ideas! Submit a proposal to help advance educational equity, strengthen critical thinking and communication, and build shared assessment practices at UC San Diego. Proposals open until May 1st!
