Director of Academic Success and Learning Services
Kristin Krogh is the Director of Academic Success and Learning Services at the Teaching and Learning Commons. Kristin has worked in higher education for over fifteen years, beginning her career as an embedded tutor before becoming an instructor of Literature, Composition, and English Language Acquisition and later leading tutoring, learning, and academic success programs. Most recently, Kristin served as the Instructional Support Supervisor for the Mesa Tutoring and Computing Centers at San Diego Mesa College, where she led a large-scale tutoring and academic support program that earned advanced certifications from both the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) and the Association of Colleges for Tutoring and Learning Assistance (ACTLA). She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Literatures of the World from UC San Diego.
In her work with colleagues and students, Kristin strives to foster welcoming environments where curiosity and growth are celebrated. She is passionate about co-creating spaces where students feel empowered to ask questions, take intellectual risks, and confidently pursue their academic and personal goals. At The Commons, Kristin looks forward to partnering with colleagues to support meaningful learning experiences for students. When she's not at work, she can often be found practicing martial arts, exploring new restaurants, taking her rambunctious Boston Terrier to the dog park, or spending quality time with family and friends.
