Mabel Pelimiano

Administrative Assistant, Engaged Teaching

Maria Pelimiano, or Mabel, is the Administrative Assistant for Engaged Teaching. Her role includes providing administrative support for Dr. Carolyn Sandoval, and the day-to-day operations of the Engaged Teaching team. Prior to UCSD, she worked for a large healthcare organization locally for 31 years with the last 18 years in management positions. Mabel brings with her extensive experience in the daily operations of multiple outpatient medical specialty departments, managing multi-disciplinary medical and administrative professionals, budgeting, scheduling, project management, and problem-solving. In her free time, Mabel enjoys spending time with her family, baking, cooking, and traveling.
