Michael Tesis

Interim Executive Assistant

Michael Tesis is the Administrative Assistant at the Teaching + Learning Commons. Michael completed his B.A. in Political Science and Anthropology at the University of California, San Diego. He previously held the position of Executive Assistant to Dr. Shirley Meng, founder of the Laboratory for Energy Storage & Conversion (LESC) and Chief Scientist for the Argonne Collaborative Center for Energy Storage Science (ACCESS). As an undergraduate he was hired as Director of the Triton Lobby Corps and was responsible for overseeing political advocacy and community outreach programs through UCSD’s Associated Students Office of External Affairs.

He was the Inaugural Dorothea Laub Scholar for the UCSD Town & Gown Committee as well as a Tritons Research & Experiential Learning Scholar (TRELS) under the mentorship of Dr. Steven Parish of the UCSD Anthropology Department.
